Helping facilitate the tough conversations around end of life, dying, planning, values and wishes, while enriching the lives we are living by way of intentional conversations.

As an End of Life Doula, I aspire to support, comfort, educate and advocate.

Embracing discomfort…

Growing up in a small town and spending a fair portion of my life traveling and living abroad has offered me the experience - time and time again - to learn, shift, ask, absorb, think, and embrace change, culture, traditions, norms and values. I’ve always been curious, committed, and caring, embracing new experiences and challenges with an open, empathetic, and compassionate heart, and have been aware of the importance of community and connection from a very young age.

As I get older, and my grandparents, parents, and Elders in the community do the same, I am increasingly more aware of the lack of infrastructure and supports we have in place for the aging population. With aging comes death, and with death comes grief - another area we’re lacking in with regards to support. Deathworkers are slowly increasing in numbers, and it is an honour to be stepping into this work.

I received my BA and BEd from Nipissing University in 2012. In addition to being a traditional classroom teacher, I’m also a registered yoga teacher, a certified End of Life Doula, Energy Healer, Life Legacy Co-creator, a podcast host/audio collector, and lifestyle photographer. I sit with clients of all ages and listen intentionally and actively, with a wide open heart, in order to understand their values, wishes, visions, and needs.

I host Death Cafés, volunteer as a grief companion with our local Hospice, where I sit with people who are actively dying and through their transition. I am constantly seeking new learning opportunities and was awarded a scholarship with Deathwives for their Deathschool to deepen my knowledge.

Talking about death and end-of-life care can feel heavy—but I truly believe that by having these intentional conversations, we can enrich our lives. I would be honoured to begin the conversation with you.

I’d love to hear from you!
